Jesus’ Excuses

“I was born into poverty.”

“I was a racial minority.”

“I was a social inferior among my own race.”

“I did not get a good education.”

“My parents did not understand me.”

“My personal interests were stifled; my parents squelched my personality .”

“My mother was a worry-wart who internalized problems and didn’t talk much.”

“My dad died before he could see that I could do something more than whittle and cut wood.”

“My siblings did not appreciate my contribution to society and ridiculed me.”

“My mother tried to control me by pushing me into action at a wedding crisis.”

“I could not find any quality help to carry out the heavenly plan.”

“People misunderstood my agenda and mistook me for a welfare system instead of a Savior.”

“After preaching my best sermon, thousands left without saying goodbye or even thanking me.”

“The twelve who stuck with me kept arguing about who was better among them, not even caring I was about to die.”

“One of my closest companions turned on me.”

“All my other associates ditched me and left me defenseless.”

“I could not get a fair trial. They rigged it to condemn me.”

In spite of these excuses, Jesus defeated sin, death, and the grave. He provided eternal salvation for everyone who would come to Him and take on His blood, name, and Spirit. Ditch your excuses and live your calling.
